 Take Stock In Children - 2009 Backcountry Challenge

 

Get Ready for the 10th Annual

Take Stock in Children Backcountry Challenge!

 

This all-release tournament is unique in that fishing starts at 9 pm on Friday after the Captains meeting and doesn’t end until 4 pm Sunday. The Backcountry Challenge targets the longest snook and redfish on live or artificial baits. Trophies will be awarded in the Adult category for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both Snook and Redfish categories, plus Top Guide and Pro-Division.

The tournament also features these distinct categories: 

  • Women's Division
  • Kids Division (kids under 14 years old)
  • Young Angler Division (14 thru 17 years) 
  • NEW THIS YEAR-  Fly Fishing Division

ENTRY INFORMATION: Entry fee for this tournament is only $125 per angler, $70 for Young Angler and $50 for socials.

All events take place at Sundowners Restaurant in Key Largo. Each entry includes a buffet at the Captains meeting on Friday evening anda fabulous four-course dinner on Sunday night during the awards ceremony. The tournament also features a silent auction with loads of great merchandise for a fraction of retail prices PLUS numerous raffles. 

 

**All net proceeds from this tournament will remain in the Upper Keys

and will benefit local students through the Take Stock in Children program.
