RL Colina, Deputy Fire Chief

Professional 

RL Colina is Monroe County's Deputy Fire Chief assisting with operations and administration department wide. 

Education 

Deputy Chief Colina earned a BS in Fire and Emergency Services from the University of Florida and is currently completing the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer program, toward obtaining his Graduate Degree in Fire Administration. 

Family 

Deputy Chief Colina has been married for 25 years to Stephanie Colina, who is retired from Clinical Research in Central Florida. They have two children…Brandon and Brooke. Brandon is a certified firefighter and Brooke is a 911 communication specialist awaiting law enforcement academy.

Outside Duty 

Deputy Chief Colina enjoys fishing for Wahoo or cruising the back country. He was recently voted to the Jose Wejebe Memorial Foundation and looks forward to assisting in their mission. 

Most of his days are spent working around the house when not on-call and living the dreams created with his wife in the Florida Keys!
