WHAT IS INTERACT?

Interact is an international service organization that fosters leadership, responsible citizenship, and promotes international understanding and peace. Interact is a club for youth between the ages of 12-18 who want to be a part of worldwide action organization and make an impact in their communities and schools. Interact club members have fun while carrying out service projects and learning about world themes and issues. The name “Interact” was created by combining the words “international” and “action.” INTERACTORS are the DREAMERS and DOERS for Rotary International.

Each year, Interact clubs complete at least two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and goodwill. Through these efforts, Interactors develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs and learn the importance of
  • Developing leadership skills and personal integrity
  • Demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others
  • Understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work
  • Advancing international understanding and goodwill
Club members also volunteer in Rotary Club projects in addition to committing a considerable number of service hours to non-profit events in the community. These include but are not limited to highway and coastline clean-ups, Take Stock in Children Backcountry Challenge, The Gigantic Nautical Flea Market, and other causes and local events.
